2016 is officially over. The new year is upon us. Below are three things you should go through to start 2017 right:
- Reflect on the previous year. What was the major theme of the year? Did things turn out the way you wanted them to? What things didn’t go so well? What can you learn from this year?
- Take a step back. The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to step back and reevaluate what your priorities are. Are you still driving towards your goals? Have your priorities changed since last year? What is something outside of the box that you would like to accomplish this year?
- Write down 5-7 goals for 2017 on paper. Zig Ziglar famously said “If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it every time.” Take the thoughts that you’ve written down in steps 1-2 and write out SMART goals for each life category (based on Zig Ziglar’s Wheel of Life).
Whether 2016 was a good or bad year for you, it’s time to reset for 2017. Reflect on last year, reset your priorities for 2017 and write down 5-7 goals that your pushing for this year.
Q: What is one goal your pushing for in 2017?
